First Day Hike
First Day Hikes are a healthy way to start the year and a chance to get outside, exercise, enjoy nature and connect with friends. The hikes are hosted each Jan. 1 by staff and volunteers at Indiana’s 32 state park properties and are part of a nationwide program promoted by the non-profit organization, America’s State Parks.
Meet at the Inn front patio for a 2 mile rugged hike on Trail 4. After the hike, join us at the Lakeview Room in the Inn for hot Chocolate and snacks served courtesy of Spring Mill Inn.

Today is FREE FISHING DAY!
This is the day that all Indiana residents are allowed to fish WITHOUT a license or a trout/salmon stamp in the state’s public waters.
We recommend bringing the family to Spring Mill State Park to celebrate. Make a day of it and have a picnic by the village, take a hike around the Lake, or participate in the Earth Day Celebration. There are plenty of things to do at the Park!
Grab your fishin’ pole and your tackle box!
This Saturday and Sunday (June 1 – 2) Indiana residents do not need a fishing license or a trout/salmon stamp to fish the state’s public waters.
Visit places like Spring Mill State Park or the Williams Dam to catch all the fish that you can.
