IKERD AT THE OPERA HOUSE

“Cody Ikerd and the Sidewinders will be performing live at the Mitchell Opera House on January 18th at 7 PM! He has played the drums for 12 years in a variety of different bands and in the past 6 years, also picked up the guitar. There is just something about the old country songs that Cody loves and is drawn to. He strives for the Merle Haggard, Hank Jr., Johnny Paycheck, Jamey Johnson, and Waylon Jennings types of music. The group has had the opportunity to open for the Kentucky Headhunters as well as Nashville’s Mark Collie. This band is one to see!”

CODY IKERD & THE SIDEWINDERS

Community Concert Series

The Mitchell Opera House is excited to bring this FREE event to Lawrence County. They have had to shut the doors on indoor concerts at the Opera House, but that won’t stop them! Join them for an outdoor concert at the Mitchell City Park with rising star, Cody Ikerd & The Sidewinders. Cody Ikerd and his band get their inspiration from singers like Merle Haggard, Hank Williams and Johnny Paycheck. They recently released their second album, “You Can Fine me in a Honkeytonk”

While this is a free event, donations will be accepted and will be gifted to Becky’s Place, a local women’s shelter.

A message from the Mitchell Opera House:
“For this event series, we will be taking extra precautions to ensure the safety of all patrons. We will ask that you bring your own lawn chairs for the event and stay at least 10 feet away from others that are not in your group. If you leave your area for any reason, please wear a mask and practice social distancing. This will also be a smoke-free and alcohol-free event and a great opportunity for a night entertainment for the whole family.”
