Hidden throughout the countryside of Lawrence County, shop the unique home-based shops offering hand-made items, primitives, antiques, furniture, garden items and flowers, one-of-a-kinds, jewelry and seasonal decor. On this tour, you'll find 13 shops that are truly hidden gems. Pick up your tour map and information at the Lawrence County Visitor's Center in downtown Mitchell. Hours: 10am-6pm each day.

Sarah Schafer, a 23-year-old Latin teacher at Bedford High School, was murdered on January 21, 1904, in an alley off Lincoln Avenue. The murder remains unsolved after 120 years. This memory walk will include stops at the site of the mortuary where Schafer's body was embalmed, and Death Valley, where her body was found.
