Visit with President Abraham Lincoln as part of the Old Fashioned Independence Weekend! Lincoln will be in the Pioneer Village Meeting House at 12:30 PM.

Sarah Schafer, a 23-year-old Latin teacher at Bedford High School, was murdered on January 21, 1904, in an alley off Lincoln Avenue. The murder remains unsolved after 120 years. This memory walk will include stops at the site of the mortuary where Schafer's body was embalmed, and Death Valley, where her body was found. The 3rd Annual Cement City Cruise-In will be at the Lehigh Field in Mitchell, Indiana on Saturday, July 20, 2024 from 9am-3pm. The neighborhood includes modest homes from the 1800's, limestone sidewalks and retaining walls, some grand homes, and Bedford's oldest stone church.
