Grist Mill Fall

Fall is dazzling here. Against scenic limestone ridges and ravines, leaves shimmer in the autumn sun, showing off their brilliant colors in the cool breeze. Gold, red and orange glow everywhere you look.

Spring Mill State Park in Mitchell is the fall centerpiece of Lawrence County.

It is so much more than a state park. Visit the historic Pioneer Village featuring the working Grist Mill. On weekends through October, explore caves and caverns, some with guided tours and underground rivers. Visit Astronaut Virgil I “Gus” Grissom Memorial Museum and interact with NASA artifacts. Discover a hiker’s paradise with miles of scenic trails.

Williams Covered Bridge in Williams, Indiana is a Must See!

As Indiana’s longest double span covered bridge, it is open to both foot and bike traffic. Rent kayaks from Pathfinder Outfitters, then experience the expansive bridge from the water.
