Spring is officially here! Lawrence County get even more exciting as local attractions and parks start to warm up. Paddle, play, explore and more in Limestone Country! Here’s some Limestone Country spring favorites:

Spring Mill State Park

This marvelous park is one of the most popular state parks in the Midwest. Families escape to Spring Mill State Park for hilly hiking trails, convenient camping and historic wonders. The restored Pioneer Village is a recreation of an early 1800s settlement. An interpretive cast of characters brings the working grist mill and village to life. Fish, canoe, kayak and explore caves throughout the park.

Hoosier National Forest

With over 203,000 acres spanning across nine Indiana counties, Hoosier National Forest perfectly satisfies your wanderlust. Trails, rolling hills, wildlife, horseback rides and much more offer fantastic excursions. Stop by the office and nature store in Bedford to start your journey.

Williams Covered Bridge

The longest double-span covered bridge in Indiana rests on the outskirts of the quaint town, Williams. Breathe in days gone by while welcoming new adventures along the back-country roads while traveling to Williams Covered Bridge. Nothing is quite as satisfying as fresh air and open road.

Bluespring Caverns

Check out creepy critters and blind fish along this subterranean ride. Passengers descend below the earth’s surface into a limestone waterway, Bluespring Caverns. It’s the nation’s longest underground river. After the voyage, prospect for gemstones, fossils and arrowheads at the Myst’ry River Gemstone Mine. Bluespring Caverns Park boasts a nature trail that leads hikers to Indiana’s largest sinkholes.
