Spend the weekend making memories at Spring Mill State Park! Join the Naturalists for exciting hikes and activities as you learn about nature all while having fun!

Friday, May 13th
3pm: Nature Preserve Hike: Join Naturalist Emilie for a rugged hike through three nature preserves and discover our caves, old growth forest, and wildlife along the way. Meet at Twin Caves parking lot. 1.5 hours; 2.5 partially rugged miles.
7pm: Campfire Tales – Learn some fire safety skills and then listen to some spooky campfire tales. Campground amphitheater. 1 hour
Saturday, May 14th
11am: Donaldson Cave Hike – Meet Naturalist Morgan by Sycamore Shelter and hike back to Donadlson Cave. While hiking you’ll learn about the Shawnee Cave System, George Donaldson, and the cave itself. We will not be going in the cave, but the naturalist will point out the portion that you are allowed to explore. 45 minutes. Partially rugged 1 mile hike.
1pm: Snake Talk – Learn about Indiana’s snakes and meet two of our resident snakes. Lakeview Activity Center. 30 minutes.
9pm: Full Moon Hike – Meet Anthony at the Lakeview Activity Center for a 2 mile hike on parts of trails 2, 4, and 1. Learn about May’s Full Flower Moon. Partially rugged. 1.5 hours.
Sunday, May 15th
10am: Coffee with Cardinals – Enjoy a hot cup of coffee and indoor birdwatching in the downstairs lobby of Spring Mill Inn (near the swimming pool). Anthony will be there to answer your questions about backyard birding and our native birds! 1 hour
1pm: Creek Stomp – Help Naturalist Morgan test the water in Mill Creek while learning about the macroinvertebrates that live there and how they tell us about water quality. Meet by village concessions (Ordinary). 30 minutes
