The July 4th fireworks will be launched from Wilson Park this year.
In order to honor social distancing and to keep the public safe, Wilson Park will be closed to the public. Residents will be encouraged to find a location within a few blocks of the park to sit and watch the aerial firework display. There will be not be a ground firework display.
The fireworks display is expected to take place shortly after dusk.
No tax dollars will be used for the celebration; all the money raised for the celebration will be strictly donations. Anyone wishing to donate can contact Bedford City Hall to learn how to contribute. The goal is to raise $8,000.

The Persimmon Festival offers up live music and entertainment every night, amazing food, games, rides & more! Of course, you will be able to find persimmons EVERYWHERE!

The Lawrence County Art Association hosts their annual holiday art show, “Tis the Season”. The Wiley Art Gallery will be filled with artwork from award-winners and budding artists alike. Pick up the book, “Artists Feature Lawrence County” while you are there, and see the county in a different perspective.
THE SHOW WILL BEGIN ON FRIDAY, DECEMBER 4 AND WILL END AT THE END OF FEBRUARY 2021.

Because of the pandemic, the Mitchell Opera House hasn’t opened its doors for a while, but they are still providing entertainment for the community. This Friday, go to the Mitchell Opera House Facebook page to watch Cody Ikerd & The Sidewinders perform live. If you have never seen the band perform, this is a great chance to see them for FREE!
