Join us at 6pm as we celebrate the 200th Anniversary of Lawrence County in the Pioneer Village. Enjoy dinner catered by Spring Mill Inn at the Grist Mill. During dessert you will be regaled by David Nord as he speaks about the history of milling in Lawrence County.
David Nord is a retired professor of journalism and adjunct professor of history at Indiana University-Bloomington, where he also served as associate editor and interim editor of the Journal of American History. As a professional academic historian, he studied the history of journalism, religious publishing, and readership in 18th-and-19th-century America. He has always loved southern Indiana, so he is delighted that in retirement he has the time to learn more about the history of Spring Mill and Lawrence County.
