Ten Bands Take the Stage at Eclipse Over Lawrence County

The Lawrence County Fairgrounds will host a weekend full of excitement leading up to the total solar eclipse on Monday, April 8. Food vendors, cash bar, carnival rides, games and a craft show will fill the weekend with fun! Ten bands will provide a variety of live music ranging from country, oldies, gospel and rock at the Eclipse Over Lawrence County celebration. You’ll find them inside at Expo Hall.

Friday – Sunday: $5 per car CASH. Monday: $20 per car CASH.

Friday, April 5

6 pm – The Summertime Band

This band has been together since 2005 and performs hits from rock and roll to golden classics. You’ll hear everything from Johnny Cash to AC/DC. The Summertime Band starts the party strong and gets you swaying and moving your feet to the beat. You’ll be rockin’ and singing along.

8 pm – The Dynamics

When you see a horn section on stage, you know you are going to hear some jammin’ R&B. And The Dynamics do not disappoint. When they bring the funk along with an uplifting beat and lyrics, a great time is guaranteed.

Saturday, April 6

2 pm – Jo & Kev

These hometown musicians perform an eclectic mix of classic country and a mix of soulful favorites. Clap and sing along with JoAnna Hackney and Kevin Hudson.

3:30 pm – Old ‘n Gold

This band plays early classic rock and Top 40 hits from the 60s, 70s and 80s. You’ll snap your fingers to The Beach Boys, The Beatles, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Eagles, Journey and Foreigner.

6 pm – Gran Torino

Rock out as this band plays classics like Mellencamp, Doobie Brothers, AC/DC and more. You’ll know all their songs and will be dancing and rockin’ along throughout their set.

8 pm – Rumors

Bring you dancing shoes because Rumors likes to boogie! Their long song list ranges from Tina Turner and Prince to Mellencamp and Luke Bryan. Their sound and light systems are topnotch and will make you feel like you are at a major concert venue. You’ll know every song and will want to sing and dance along.

Sunday, April 7

1 pm – Brim Ministries Simple Church

Sunday’s musical lineup is kicked off with Gospel music, spreading a positive message to start your celebration today.

2:30 pm – Karston Brim

Karston Brim was the 2021 winner of Persimmon Idol. Hear some of the best in classic country, plus some originals written and performed by Karston.

4 pm – Vintage

This local band plays covers from guitar driven eighties rock bands like Van Halen, Night Ranger, Def Leppard, Metallica and other “hair bands” from that era. 

6 pm – Cody Ikerd & the Sidewinders

Hometown Country music recording artist, Cody Ikerd, will light up the stage with country hits from the 90s along with Ikerd’s original music. Wear your boots to scoot and grab your honey for some slow dancing. You’ll have plenty of reasons for both!
