Weekend Activities at Spring Mill State Park

WEEKEND INTERPRETIVE PROGRAMS

FRIDAY

9AM – Trail 4 Nature Preserve Hike
Meet Tony at Donaldson Cave parking lot for a hike on Trail 4 and 7. We’ll talk about the history, flora and fauna of the trail. 90 min. Moderate hike.

8:30 PM – Bat Night Hike
Meet Sydney at the Twin Caves parking lot to hike down to Twin and Bronson Caves to learn about Indiana bats and maybe even see some! .75 mile rugged hike. 1 hour. Flashlights provided.

SATURDAY

10 AM – 10.8 Mile Trail Challenge Group Hike (Part One)
Interested in completing Spring Mill’s 10.8 mile Trail Challenge but want a group to do it with? Hike trails 1, 2, 4, 5, 7 & Stagecoach!
Meet at Village Parking Lot. Bring lunch and plenty of water. 6 miles. 5 hours.

2 PM – Creek Stomp
Learn about and find some of the macroinvertebrates found in Mill Creek. Meet at the Village Ordinary. 30 minutes.

SUNDAY

10 AM – 10.8 Mile Trail Challenge Group Hike (Part Two)
Interested in completing Spring Mill’s 10.8 mile Trail Challenge but want a group to do it with? Hike the Mountain Bike trail and Trails 3 & 6!
Meet at Pool Parking Lot. Bring plenty of water. 4.75 miles. 3 hours.

2 PM – Cave Creatures
Learn about the unique creatures that utilize our caves and what we can do to protect them. Meet at the Lakeview Activity Center. 20 minutes.
