There isn’t much of a better pairing than a beautiful day on a golf course, followed by a wonderful evening of live music!! So 1Pulse Entertainment has put together the perfect event for you and your friends! Put your team together and come out to take on Eric Brown and Jenn Cristy at the beautiful Stone Crest Golf Resort for a fun, relaxing Sunday afternoon! Whether you are a pro, casual golfer, or just like the idea of fresh air and driving a cart, everyone will be a winner because following a relaxing day on the links, Eric and Jenn will end the event with a concert just for you! Opening the show will be our talented friend and fellow golfer, Jamie Nichole! If golf isn’t your thing, we invite you to still be a part of the event for only $10 and join us for music in the evening!

Can it get any better? Absolutely! This event will help raise money for the 1Pulse Internship Program. We pride ourselves on building a community of artistic minds and talents, and one of the ways we do that is working closely with students from around the area, giving them hands-on experiences in the music industry. Our program is wrapping up its second year and has been an incredible journey for both 1Pulse and our interns. We are looking to continue strong with many more opportunities in the future for our musical family!

Our mentoring program helps develop young talent interested in the arts. In an age where funding (both publicly and privately) is being continually slashed for the arts, we want to do our part to make sure the culture of artistic expression grows – not diminishes. We are excited to continue building with those who love music and will keep live music strong!

The Avalons

The Avalons (formerly Sh-Boom) had its birth in 1987 when two fellow broadcasters at an oldies station with a love for 50s and 60s rock decided they could produce an excellent show! They decided that they wanted to be a show with all the entertainment elements…costumes, choreography, audience participation and wacky humor, instead of just another band that played oldies. A wacky comedy style evolved along with the music and their great 4 part harmonies were complemented with one zany bit after another.

Within a few years, they were headlining at fairs and festivals around the midwest and east coast. They were soon opening for scores of legendary artists like The Temptations, The Four Tops, Paul Revere and the Raiders, and others. A four day engagement at Springfest in Ocean City, Maryland, landed them a long term association and even more opportunities to open for acts like The Beach Boys, The Smothers Brothers, America, Frankie Valli & the Four Seasons and even country acts like Mary Chapin Carpenter, Colin Raye, Marty Stewart and dozens of others. Everywhere, they left audiences applauding their great harmonies, howling at their wacky comedy, and praising them for recreating so many warm memories of the 50’s and 60’s.

Imagine soul, jazz and rock all mixed together. Now, take a look at Cosmic Situation, because that’s exactly who they are! In 2012, this band recorded their very first album together. They have their own originals, but they also play cover songs. If this is your first time hearing the name “Cosmic Situation”, come and check them out with us at Shortys this weekend!
