All day: Quilting demonstration, nature weaving, pioneer toys and games, needle felting demonstration
August 31:
10:30 AM – Make a Tic Tac Toe game
11:30 AM – Spinning & Quilting demonstrations. Try to use a drop spindle!
1:30 PM – Make a small woven coaster on a cardboard loom (Weavers Cabin)
2:00 PM – Arm knitting demonstration
2:30 PM – Lace-making demonstration. You can even try your hand at bobbin lace and see tatting! (Leather Shop)
3:00 PM – Learn finger knitting
3:30-4:15 PM – Pick up a coloring book from the Grist Mill about flowers in the village gardens while learning about the construction on the mill
4:30 PM – Mill and Mercantile close
5:00 PM – All Village buildings closed
September 1:
8:30 AM – Non-denominational worship service (Meeting House)
9:30 AM – Pick up a coloring book at the Grist Mill and find out about the ongoing construction
10:00 AM – Spinning demonstration – try spinning on the spinning wheel and drop spindle!
11:00 AM – Try your hand at quilting!
1:30 PM – See how to felt soap
2:30 PM – Pick up a Gods eye ornament kit and see how to make one
3:30 PM – Make a craft at the Leather Shop
4:30 PM – Mill and Mercantile close
5:00 PM – All Village buildings closed
September 2:
10:00 AM – Cord making demonstration
11:00 AM – Find out all about weaving. Pick up a weaving project (Weavers Shop)
11:30 AM – Make stick people using a stick and scraps of fabric
1:15 PM – Pick up paper dolls to take home, while finding out about the construction in the village (Grist Mill)
2:30 PM – Find out how to make a small cord. Get a bracelet kit to take home!
3:30 PM – Make a butterfly on a cloths pin
4:30 PM – Mill and Mercantile close
5:00 PM – All Village buildings closed
The Quilt Show at Spring Mill State Park is an annual event that provides an unforgettable experience! As visitors walk the Pioneer Village, they are greeted with colorful hanging quilts that line the fences and buildings.
