History of the Milwaukee Railroad in Lawrence County

Between Imitation and Arbitration Our Limestone Heritage Month guest speakers are Jei Jeeyea Kim, Assistant Professor, and W. Dorian Bybee, Lecturer, both from the J. Irwin Miller Architecture Program, Eskenazi School of Art, Architecture + Design at Indiana University. The name of their presentation is "Between Imitation and Arbitration." A PRESENTATION Monroe Lake's naturalist, Jill Vance, will be the speaker for the Lawrence County History Center's membership meeting! The presentation is free and OPEN TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC. Before Monroe Lake was built, the Salt Creek Valley was full of small towns, farms, and cemeteries. Speaker Program
LAWRENCE COUNTY MUSEUM Allison Duerk will present a speaker program on "Eugene V. Debs and the Eugene V. Debs Museum in Terre Haute," at the Lawrence County Museum this Monday, August 14, at 7 p.m. The speaker program follows the regular LCHGS monthly meeting, which is at 6:30 p.m. Both the meeting and the speaker program are free and open to the public, and we hope to see you there!
