About the Author:

Pamela Horner is an educator, author, and speaker who lives in southern Indiana.  She has taught English to middle school students for over twenty-five years, and enjoys the rewarding feeling that comes with helping children find a love for reading, poetry, and literature.  Her innovative classroom methods led to a short story series called Rats, Pumpkins, and Other Rumors, and her experience with a dyslexic grandson helped pave the way for her young adult historical fiction novel, Acts of Courage.  In recent years, her time as a caregiver to her mother during her battle with Alzheimer’s/dementia inspired her newest novel, The Long Road Home, both a tribute to her mother, and a guide for caretakers and patients struggling to cope with the disease.  Each of her books is available on Amazon.

When she’s not teaching or writing, Pamela enjoys spending time with her family, especially the longstanding tradition of Friday night dinners with her daughter, niece, and four grandchildren.  She also enjoys reading, history (especially Revolutionary War era), 80’s music, gardening, cooking, Christmas movies (in fact, all things Christmas!), and is newly smitten with the Big Bang Theory!
