Spring Mill Interpretive Programs

WEEKEND AT SPRING MILL STATE PARK
Join us for a fun weekend at Spring Mill State Park.
Saturday, September 12th
10am-4pm: Archeology Activities for the family – It’s Indiana Archeology Month! Stop by the Lakeview Activity Center to learn more about archeology. Kids can take home a small prepackaged activity while supplies last.
9am: Mitchell Karst Plain Nature Preserve Hike – Tony will take you on parts of two different trails while telling you the significance of our nature preserve. Meet at Donaldson parking lot. 90 minutes partially rugged hike.
11am: Stagecoach Trail Hike – Learn about nature and history with Chris on this 45 minute, rugged hike. Meet outside of the Grist Mill by the Sawmill.
1pm: Invasive Species Hike – Join naturalist, Payton, for a hike on Trail 5 while learning how to ID some invasive plant species and how we manage them. Meet at the Lakeview Activity Center. 45 minute, moderate hike.
Sunday, September 13th
1pm: Stream Stroll – Meet Payton by the village Ordinary for a walk in the creek while we look for macroinvertebrates. What will these little creatures tell us about our water quality? 30 minutes
3pm: Hamer Cemetery– Join naturalist, Chris, for an interesting tour and history of the area. Meet at Hamer Cemetery. 30 minutes
