Weekends at Spring Mill State Park are never boring! This beautiful park has so much to offer, with the historic Pioneer Village, 9+ miles of hiking, a beautiful lodge & a lake for fishing and kayaking with your friends.

Saturday, January 16^th
Winter Seed Sowing Workshop: Prepare your seeds this winter for spring. Reserve a time slot (10am, 11am, or 1pm) to come learn about how to care for your seeds/plants during this dormant season. Make your own seed planter. 30 minute workshop. 10 people per time slot. $2 per person. Masks required. Call 812-849-3534 or email Sheree at sbelt@dnr.in.gov to reserve your time slot.

Sunday, January 17^th1pm: Hamer Cemetery Tour – Meet the naturalist at Hamer Cemetery to hear about the people that lived and worked in the village in the 1800’s. 20 minutes

Saturday January 9^th1pm: Hidden Cave Hike – Take a guided hike to an unknown cave on the property. Meet at Twin Caves’ parking lot. Short, easy off trail hike. 30 minutes.

Sunday January 10^th1pm: Winter Wildlife Hike – Meet Anthony at Oak Ridge Shelter for an easy hike on Trail 7 to learn about the wildlife that calls Spring Mill home and how they adapt to the cold winter months. 1 hour, 1.75 miles
