WEEKEND INTERPRETIVE PROGRAMS

Weekends at Spring Mill State Park are never boring! This beautiful park has so much to offer, with the historic Pioneer Village, 9+ miles of hiking, a beautiful lodge & a lake for fishing and kayaking with your friends.

Saturday, November 14^th

11am:  Lime Kiln Hike –  Meet Tony at the Lakeview Activity Center for a history hike to our lime kilns.  Moderate 40 minute hike.

1pm:  All Things Spring Mill Lake – Come join the naturalist on a 80 minute hike to hear about the lake history, Rubble Spring, the critters that call the lake home, and the Lime Kilns.  Rugged.  Meet at the Lakeview Activity Center.

Sunday, November 15^th

8:30am:  Beginning Birding Program & Hike – Meet the naturalist at the Lakeview Activity Center to hear about some of Indiana’s birds that are here through the winter.  After, we’ll head out for a hike to find some feathered friends.  Bring your own Binoculars.  1 mile rugged hike.  90 minute program.

PARK ENTRY FEE MAY APPLY

Saturday, November 28^th

11am:  Hidden Cave Hike – Join Tony for a moderate off trail hike to one of our hidden caves, Rubble Springs.  Meet at the Lakeview Activity Center.  1 hour.     

7pm:  Full Beaver Moon Hike – Learn all about the Full Beaver Moon and the adaptions of the American Beaver that calls Spring Mill his home.  Meet Anthony at the Lakeview Activity Center for a 1 mile, moderate hike around the lake.
