WEEKEND INTERPRETIVE PROGRAMS

Weekends at Spring Mill State Park are never boring! This beautiful park has so much to offer, with the historic Pioneer Village, 9+ miles of hiking, a beautiful lodge & a lake for fishing and kayaking with your friends.

Friday, April 2nd  

8am:  Early Riser Hike – Enjoy a quiet morning guided hike with Tony.  Meet at Spring Mill Inn front patio for a 1 mile hike on parts of trail 1 and 4.

7pm:   Sunset Hike – Meet Anthony at the Lakeview Activity Center to enjoy an evening hike.  Take in the sights and sounds of spring.  Moderate hike.  1 mile.

PARK ENTRY FEE MAY APPLY
$5 FOR INDIANA RESIDENTS
$7 FOR OUT-OF-STATE RESIDENTS

Saturday, February 20th
1pm:  CRV Hike – REGISTRATION REQUIRED.  Come explore this beautiful, primitive property managed by Spring Mill.  2 hour hike. Very Rugged.  Water-proof/rubber boots highly recommended. Register at sbelt@dnr.in.gov or 812-849-3534.

Sunday, February 21st
8am:  Good Morning Hike – REGISTRATION REQUIRED.  Start your day with a leisurely hike around the Donaldson Shelter loop. 1 hour, 1.25 mile; partially rugged.

Saturday, February 13th:
8:30am:  Birding Hike – Meet the naturalist at the Lakeview Activity Center to hear about some of Indiana’s birds of winter.  After, we’ll head out for a hike to find some feathered friends.  Bring your own Binoculars.  Moderate hike.  90 minutes.

Sunday, February 14th:
1pm:  Nature Valentines Hike – Join the naturalist on a hike on Trail 5 as we look for natural objects in the shape of a heart.  Bring your camera to take pictures.  What other unusual shapes/things might we find along the way?  1 mile, partially rugged.
